SAVING AFRICA
30cm x 40cm - 2010
Table tennis balls, condom, acrylic
It is of great importance to spread an awareness campaign on health care in developing countries. The painting’s background, that evokes the vivid polychromes of the Dark Continent, is invaded by the letters A-i-d-s that wander freely on canvas. On the other hand they are trapped inside a condom that serves as a protective shield without being invasive. Science thence becomes the tool of salvation in a country in a state of emergency.
