The kitchen’s utensils require a certain etiquette. In a multi-ethnic society there are many clashing expectations and attitudes. Manners are a sensitive awareness of the feeling of others. Hence, the fragments of conventional norms, as the cutlery on the canvas, feel the inexorable need to return to their original form.
