The American Dream is the hallmark of the United States creed, where freedom includes a promise of the possibility of prosperity and success. Being a country of immigrants, constant and swift inner mobility has remained a distinguishing mark: America can be therefore considered a country on wheels. As endogenous as its kinetics, is the source of nutrition, common to the entire melting-pot cuisine: rice, brought from Madagascar to South Carolina by the Dutch ships at the end of the seventeenth century. Eventually in history, rice farming moved to Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, making the USA one of the world’s largest rice exporters.
